shepherdGood Shepherd Catholic Parish & School

"Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father." (Colossians 3:16,17)

Welcome

Welcome to the home of Good Shepherd Parish music ministry. The purpose of this site is to provide schedules for cantors, instrumentalists and choir members, and resources for training music ministers. We will also be showcasing original music written by our own parish members.

Hi! My name is Mark Schmitz and I'm the Director of Worship here at Good Shepherd Parish. I was hired in the beginning of 2007 to help coordinate and bring a refined vision to the liturgy and music here. I hope this part of our website will help form and inform all our musicians to be better ministers to God's people.

New Translation of the Mass (info)

As of March 2010, a new translation of the Mass used by the english speaking Catholic world has been approved. They are giving everyone quite some time to impliment the new changes, so we can make the transition as easy as possible. I want to make the resources available that will help us make the trasition. I'll also open it up for discussion, so if people would like to send me questions, I'll post them with the answers here.
