Vacation Bible School 2013
Our Vacation Bible School programs in the past have been amazing and energetic in teaching our kids about God through the bible and VBS 2013 is quickly approaching. This year we are doing KINGDOM ROCK July 8 - July 12. For the fist time, this will be the totally Catholic version, adding a level of Catholic tradition and practice, making it perfect for Good Shepherd. So, we have a registration and volunteer website ready to go. Click here to sign up and we'll see you and/or your child at KINGDOM ROCK!
Welcome Pope Francis
Good Shepherd parish would like to congratulate Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio on his election as the Catholic Church's 266th Pope. He has chosen the name Francis (the first) and hails from Argentina. The first New World Pope, he promises to bring a sense of social justice and integrity to the Universal Church. Thanks be to God and the Holy Spirit for guiding the work of the Cardinals in their election process. Viva il Papa!

Year of Faith

YearofFaithLogoIn 2012-13, we celebrate both the 50th anniversary of the opening of Vatican II, and the 30th anniversary of the issuing of the current Catechism of the Catholic Church. With this in mind, Pope Benedict has called for a special year dedicated to studying and learning to live our faith in a deeper way. The Diocese of Evansville and Good Shepherd Catholic Church are planning events that will offer you a way to do just that. Keep checking back to find out more information. You can also click on the logo for more information at the official USCCB website.

  • Ever wondered about ways to bring your young children to Mass on Sunday or Holy Days... or even weekdays? Here is an article that goes through a few suggestions one couple has used to help their children. There really is no reason children can't attend Mass from an early age and still behave and get the most out of Mass.
