˝ PRICE BOOK FAIR

 

Mark the dates May 6-8. GSS will hold the  Spring ˝ price Scholastic Book Fair. The fair will be held in the Music Room from 7:00-3:00 daily and Thursday evening 3:00-7:00. Volunteers are welcome! If you would like to work, please contact the coordinator for that day.

Thanks to Jim Martin who has volunteered to be GSS representative to the Family Partnership Against Drugs.  Jim replaces Debbie Fortner who has devoted many years to this important position. Thank you, Debbie!

 

 

PLASTIC RECYCLING

 

Thank you to all those who have contributed to our plastic recycling efforts. After the weigh in this weekend, GSS will only be collecting the water bottles used during the lunch periods. Special thanks to Tom Scheessele who has offered to take our final load to the weighed.

RECEPTION for MRS. HEIDORN

 

The  PTO invites you to a Retirement Reception for Mrs. Heidorn, the Administrative Assistant for GSS for the past 36 years. Mrs. Heidorn will be “Queen for the Day” on Wednesday, May 14.

Please stop by the cafeteria from 1:00-3:00 to wish her well.

 

 

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

 

The week has been magnifico! GSS is blessed with wonderful cooks and bakers. Each day was a new culinary treat for the teachers and staff.

Thank you for all the special attention this week!

 

TROPHY CASE

 

Many thanks to Memorial High School junior and GSS graduate, Matt Martin, who constructed a trophy case as an Eagle Scout project. The cabinet is in the foyer area between the library and the gym. Thank you, Matt, for this new space to house the trophies earned by our student athletes.
