PROMOTION POLICY and RETENTION POLICY
Advancement to the next grade level at Good Shepherd School is based on a student’s daily performance, test results, recommendations of teachers, and his/her ability to complete work successfully on a more advanced level. Promotion to the next grade level and acceptance at Good Shepherd School depends on the successful completion of all subject areas. The administration may recommend the repetition of a grade level, tutoring, or summer classes as a requirement for promotion when, after conferences with teachers and parents, it is believed that such action will better prepare the student academically or emotionally for the next grade level. Any tutoring or summer classes will be at the parents’ expense.
