CURRICULUM

Good Shepherd School follows the Curriculum Guidelines established by the Diocese of Evansville and by the Indiana Department of Education. All textbooks and supplementary materials are current and have been recommended by the Diocesan Textbook Committees in accord with the State of Indiana adoptions.

Good Shepherd School continually updates its Integrated Learning Lab and Computer Programs. The Computer Lab has 31 Compaq computers and the Jostens Integrated Learning Program. Students work in the lab 3 or 4 times per week integrating their class work with their lab work. Keyboarding is taught in 4th grade, when students use two classes per week for three weeks to concentrate on this, and then once a week after that. This year each classroom has a computer that is networked to the Computer Lab.

Our multi-media library is computerized and books are checked in and out using a scanner and bar codes. The multi-media library is also networked with the computer lab.

The present Academic Program for grades K – 8 includes the following:

Religion Journal Writing Indiana History
